Digital Resurrection

Solo Exhibition

My solo exhibition, Digital Resurrection, at Þula Gallery in Reykjavík in 2023 marked a deeply personal exploration of the digital self and the afterlife within the online realm. Through a series of 3D animated artworks, the exhibition delved into the fusion of memories, identity, and technology, inviting visitors to consider the legacy we leave behind in a world where data endures beyond our physical lives. The exhibition received a remarkable response, drawing a significant number of visitors and attracting widespread media coverage.

Digital Resurrection examines the digital self’s potential to exist beyond the physical world, with each artwork offering a perspective on how data and memory intertwine in the digital realm. Through 3D animations, the exhibition delves into ideas of legacy, data permanence, and the surreal beauty of a digital afterlife. By exploring questions of memory, nostalgia, and the shifting boundaries between reality and the digital sphere, Digital Resurrection opens a space for reflection on the power and responsibility of our digital footprints. This immersive series confronts audiences with questions about data ownership, immortality, and the impact of our virtual presence long after we are gone.
