Scarfs and installation during DesignMarch in Kirkjuhúsið in Reykjavík, Iceland for Saga Kakala.
Saga Kakala premieres a new silk veil line in collaboration with 3D designer Maria Guðjohnsen. In this series of 3D images, viewers get to know Icelandic mythical creatures in a modern light. The creatures have the adventurous task of guarding Icelandic archaeological remains, or stones found in Icelandic nature. The works shed new light on the mysterious world of Icelandic folklore and at the same time approach them in a new way. Among the creatures featured in the works are Marbendil who guards Hrafntinna, Lagarfljótsormur who protects Heulandít and Skötumóðir who guards the silver rock. The veils are also born into the digital world through interactive reality, where they come to life as video works and form a beautiful bridge between the real world and the digital world.
